Hello,
I’m Élodie Burette, a French illustrator and fashion designer from Paris.
I studied fashion at Studio Berçot and worked with luxury houses like Balenciaga, Dior, and Saint Laurent before moving to New York to design for Tory Burch. Later, I joined Aritzia in Vancouver before settling in Tokyo in 2015, where I worked as a designer for Beautiful People and taught fashion at ESMOD Tokyo.

My illustrations are a vibrant exploration of color, movement, and emotion. Through bold hues and fluid shapes, I create a world where joy, playfulness, and curiosity intertwine.
I’m drawn to moments, fleeting glances, gestures, and moods that reveal something intimate about a person or a scene. I use vivid inks, flowing lines, and mixed media to explore the space between observation and imagination.

Over time, I’ve developed a live illustration practice that lets me respond to people and surroundings in real time. I find joy in creating portraits and figures that feel spontaneous yet poetic, with a style that reflects both softness and intensity.
Whether working at a lively event or in quiet studio moments, I aim to create illustrations that feel alive, thoughtful, colorful traces of time and emotion.
